Cozy Tips
With October, there are usually a lot of fun challenges on social media to participate in and it can become very overwhelming. I have participated in several month long, daily challenges and I often find that I get bored or burnt out half way through. Here are a few easy, no-pressure ways to keep the creativity flowing while I’m away:
- Tip 1: Instead of committing to a 31-day prompt list, choose a theme you love (like haunted houses, black cats, or magical objects) and draw whatever fits within it — as often as you like.
- Tip 2: Prep 3 Quick Sketch Ideas Now
Brainstorm a few characters or objects you’re excited to draw. Having just 3 “go-to” ideas can help you start faster when inspiration dips.
- Tip 3: Limit Your Tools to Stay Focused
Try using just one or two brushes + a tight color palette for the whole month — it creates a clear style and cuts down on decision fatigue.
